Juan Miguel's Paper House!
Inspired by Mystery Doug, Juan Miguel designed this paper house on Tuesday. I don't think any Big Bad Wolf would be able to blow this house down!

Good Tuesday morning 2/3W Families!
1. Science: A Plastic Bottle House and a Cardboard Car?!
I am really excited for you to try the Mystery Doug lesson today. You are going to incorporate what you learned about strong and stable structures to build a tower made out of paper. There are tons of cool videos in this lesson as well. Have fun! If you don't have the materials, be creative and use something else!
Could You Build a House of Paper?
2. Math: Closest To Card Game
3. Language: Read a RazKid selection. Try using the visualizing reading strategy you learned about last Thursday using Into The Book. Close your eyes and visualize while the narrator reads the first time. For the second reading, you read and compare the pictures in the book to those from your imagination. You can do this with a book instead of Raz-Kids if you want!

Joshua and his Mom had a busy Friday morning creating teleporters and giraffes. Check these out:
"Teleporters travel faster than the speed of light." - Joshua
Rachelle put her giraffe on the moon. I think Rachelle needs to come into the classroom to teach a few art lessons of her own!
Julia's Art
Julia says hi and sent in these pictures of herself and her pop art to share with all her 2/3W friends!
It is great to see you, Julia, and your art looks very joyful! Romero Britto would be proud of your use of patterns! Thank you to your Mom for sharing these pictures with us!

Joshua's Lego Flags!
I was so thrilled to receive these pictures of Joshua this morning. He loved seeing Juan Miguel's Lego creations and decided to make a few Lego flags and a message to his Mom. Can anyone name the countries of the flags Joshua made? Can anyone spot the hidden message in the last picture? What a fun research project for you this weekend! Thank you for sharing, Josh and Rachelle!

Hello 2/3 W Students!
Hello my dear students!
First of all, I miss you all a whole bunch! I also want to warmly welcome Michael to our class! We are all super excited to meet you!
Well boys and girls, it sure has been a wonky school year for you so far! Hang in there - we will get through this together with our families, our community and with God's love. I plan on keeping us all connected using this blog. Everyday, I will post some learning ideas for you to do. If your parents or guardians agree, you can send me a picture of you enjoying a learning activity and I can post it on the blog. My e-mail address is: jennifer.wills@ocsb.ca
Here is your first assignment. If you want to log onto Google Drive and write about it then share it with me, go for it! If you want to write it down in a journal (staple a bunch of papers together?), that works too! I would love to hear why as well! Do what you can, and enjoy the feeling of gratitude washing over your body. It's a great feeling and gratitude helps us all keep a positive mindset!
