Minecraft Coding

We also did an hour of coding together as a class today - it was a real education for me as I have never played Minecraft before. We programmed Steve to build houses and cobblestone pathways as well as avoid Creepers! Tomorrow, the students will have the chance to work alone or with a partner to do another Minecraft coding activity or one about Moanah (new movie). They are learning to read procedural texts (which is our next writing genre in Language) as well as develop transformational geometry skills.
