Wear Pink

Tomorrow (Thursday), the students and staff are encouraged to wear pink for our Kindness Assembly.

The Terrific Triangle

This afternoon, we explored why the triangle is the strongest shape. We discovered that squares (highly squishable) can be reinforced by beams to make them stronger!

Arrays

This week we have been exploring multiplication as repeated addition, equal groups and arrays. This morning, the students had fun using paint dabbers to create a variety of arrays for a given product (the answer to a multiplication).

Published Authors!

The students have been working so hard on writing and illustrating their narrative stories. Stayed tuned for a book tour once all the students' books are published!

Dancing into Family Day Weekend!

Red and White Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone has dug their way out of the snow! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our Valentine's Day Dance-a-thon and celebration! Students are encouraged to wear red/pink and white for our Spirit Day!

100 Words with Our Buddies!

Today our reading buddies visited us on the eve of the 100th day of school! The 3W students helped their buddies compile a list of 100 words!

Warm Hearts!

Today the students spent some time completing the watercolour art activity they started yesterday. Using intersecting lines and cool colours as a background, the students painted a heart in warm colours in the foreground. I'll post the completed results soon!
