OAC Volunteer Form

The permission form for the OAC Field Trip on Monday, June 4th went home last Thursday but in my haste to send it home, I didn't reread the volunteer return portion of the letter. If you are able to volunteer for this outing, can you just write a note on the permission form? It's a fun day so hopefully a few of you can join us! Sorry for the short notice!

Magnificent Mural!

Our stunning mural was unveiled today! WOW!

How Plants Proliferate!

Today Mystery Doug explained to us that seeds must travel away from their parent plants in order to survive and grow. The students made 'rotocopter" seeds similar in design to maple keys  - they practiced dropping them and watching the "seeds" spin away. Check out the link! These were some noisy trees!

Ozobot Training

Ms. Anna, our library technician, taught us how to write code for the school's four Ozobot robots. The students then coded their Ozobots to follow trails and perform little tricks. Thank you Ms. Anna!

Sprouted Bean Seeds!

This morning we discovered that most of our bean seeds have sprouted - even the ones that were trapped in the cupboard and deprived of daylight!

We will keep them in moist paper towel over the weekend and hopefully they will be ready to plant in soil next week!

Powerful Performances!

The students performed their skits today for the 3F and 3/4P classes. The audience praised the actors and provided them with a few suggestions for their next performances! Mrs. Ayafor, Ms. Morris, Mrs. Evert and Mrs. Sabourin have all asked for their classes to attend! The 2/3W actors are in demand! We will book a couple more performances over the next two weeks. Thank you for all the costumes! Such creativity!

Dynamic Dance Duo?

Garven hand delivered his persuasive letter to Mr. Pope today. Garven provided him with some very persuasive reasons why they should be a Dance Duo at SMY's Talent Show next week: It will make the students happy! It will make you really  popular! Your own kids will think you're the coolest Dad

Stay tuned to find out if this potential dynamic dance duo hits the stage next Friday...

The Not-So-Big-Bad Wolf!

Olivia is ready for the plays tomorrow. The wolf suit is terrific! Thanks Julia!

We present to Mr. Pope and Mrs. Frangione's classes at 12:30 p.m.!
