One Metre Designs!
During today's Snow Day, the kids had to make a design using 1 metre of wool. The students have been busy estimating and measuring up a storm this week in Math. This activity provided a creative twist to the measurement strand. Designs included a money sign, a star, Gretzky & Crosby's numbers (and Cassidy's!), a heart, a dragon's head, a circle, a lasso and a bowl! Well done!

Descriptive Getaways!
The students' final descriptive paragraphs are gracing the walls of our classroom. The kids used all their senses to bring their islands to life! Many are tropical but some are hockey and superhero-themed! A copy of them will be going home next week!

Warm and Cool Landscapes
3A is bursting with budding artists! Using chalk pastels, the students created warm and cool landscapes. The students chose to either make a cool (blues, greens, purples) sky and warm mountains (yellows, oranges, browns, reds) or vice versa. They did a magnificent job!
